은하수관현악단은 조선의 대표적인 음악 단체의 하나로 꼽히는 전문 관현악단이다. 2010년대 초에 여러 공개 연주회를 열었으며, 그 가운데는 어머니날을 기념하여 제4차 전국어머니대회 참가자들을 위한 공연과 《자라나는 어린이들을 잘 키우자!》라는 주제의 어린이 공연이 있다.
