Cha Yun Mi

Cha Yun Mi (차윤미) comes from Musan County in North Hamgyong Province, where she was born in 1997. She was eleven when she was admitted to study in Pyongyang. There, she attended Kumsong Academy for six years, studying under Choe Sol Hui.

She later sang with the State Merited Chorus of the Korean People's Army. In 2019, she made her solo debut with “Longing” (그리움), a newly written song recorded with the chorus.

Since early 2021, she has performed with the Band of the State Affairs Commission as a singer and pianist. Her repertoire centres on lyrical pop songs, with orchestral and electronic accompaniment.
